But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.
“Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision” (Acts 26:16, 19)
Saul who was later called Apostle Paul had a unique intense dramatic conversion experience and encounter with the lord, whom he had been persecuting. This is documented in scriptures and we all refer to it as “the Damascus experience”. In this poignant encounter with God, visions were clearly the focal point as he underlines or underscores as heavenly visions.
Apostle Paul strongly reiterates to King Agrippa in his defense against his accusers that he was not disobedient or defiant to the heavenly vision that started it all in the first place; that vision started his journey of discovering who he was in Christ; his calling and purpose and ultimately it determined his walk with the lord, until he could boldly state that… “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”. (2 Timothy 4:7)
From this contextual background painted here, we cannot over-emphasize the importance of visions and dreams in the life of a believer. The word of God encourages us to dream, to imagine and to have visions of the future; and also to share these with people of like mind and spirit. These dreams and visions are some of the most indelible marks or emblems of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in these last days as fulfilled prophecy of Joel 2:28
“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. (Joel 2:28, Acts 2:17)
Growing up in a Christian home, my mother whom I can call a “dream interpreter” inculcated in us the importance of minding our dreams and always praying about them and seeking to find its meaning as per the situation one is going through. Therefore my life was already sensitized to this aspect of the spiritual realm.
When I had my encounter with the lord, in the baptism in the Holy Spirit; the reality of Prophet Joel’s prophecy became my norm and my lifestyle.
The lord started teaching me and maturing me. I can gladly say that it has been indeed a profound journey of growth and discovery.
This book is birthed out of these encounters. Many years ago, the lord instructed me to write down every dream with its interpretation of which this book is a record of some of them. It is a memoir of my journey of faith.
Dreams and visions can be personal and very much corporate depending on the subject matter dealt with and the season that one is in.
This book’s intention is to encourage the reader to a deepen dimension with God, to sensitize the reader to a higher frequency in the spirit realm to be able to see or visualize the mind of God concerning their lives.
This book is not intended for personalized circumstantial directions or instructions. These were simply my instructions upon my situation at that time of my life. I have written them without leaving out any detail; written as it was given to me. I was not disobedient to these heavenly visions or dreams. Being a minister of the gospel, many of the dreams recorded here may follow that trajectory.
Therefore beloved readers, kindly use these experiences as motivation to seek the lord about your own encounter with him. You may find a lot of similarities or a parallel to what your situation is about and if it is so; then let it be an endorsement or verification of what the lord has already activated in you.I am strongly persuaded that we should consciously and actively develop the skill of dreaming or envisioning the future by meditating on what God says in His word about it and also by observing others for impartation. This book provides the most crucial platform for the reader to perceive my dream encounters and allowing them to produce inspiration.
Let these encounters stir you up, propel you forward and give you a cataclysmic inward shift towards your calling and purpose in God! As Timothy was charged by Apostle Paul his spiritual father to “stir up”… “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands”. (2 Timothy 1:6)
In this instance, that gift is the dreams and visions… as you read this book, may you birth out this gift in JESUS name! Amen!
This book may not be for everyone but it is for those who don’t want to remain in their status-quo!
